The Mallard

An almost natural Mallard Elm topped Staff.

At the same time as the shaft, the top was gathered from a ten year old store of Elm two seasons ago, the shaft left to mature in its own time. (sealed, of course). Using as much skill as I have to achieve - less is more - and a minimum amount of carving, the Mallard was formed. The shaft then straightened, and again, left for a while before the Mallard top attached. Making for a good solid, sturdy, walking and hiking staff; a natural, rustic, with its own unique and one off characteristics.

With a metal stud for long wear; easily replaced should you need to shorten the shank for some reason.

If you wish for a hands-free Wrist Loop, just ask.

The current length is: 48” to the centre of the paracord grip s adjusting will need to be done for a perfect fit; even for a six footer.
