Mobile Notes

Best image size

The best image size for Android phones depends on the screen resolution and aspect ratio of the device. Here are some general guidelines:

  • Standard mobile image sizes: 640×320 pixels is a common recommendation for general phone images.

  • Wallpaper size: A good standard is 1080×1920 pixels (Full HD) since most modern phones use a 16:9 aspect ratio.

  • Optimized web images: For mobile-friendly websites, images around 400–800 pixels wide work well to balance quality and loading speed.

  • High-resolution displays: If targeting high-DPI screens, consider using WebP format for better compression and quality.

Since you're working on e-commerce site development, optimizing images for mobile is crucial for fast loading times and a smooth user experience. You might want to experiment with responsive images using the tag and srcset to serve different sizes based on the device.

What an eCommerce website should include

Leave my website

Is there a button that allows a visitor to leave my website?

Certainly! When it comes to allowing visitors to leave your website, there are a few approaches you can consider:

1. Exit-Intent Popups:

o Exit-intent popups appear when a user’s mouse hovers near the top of the browser window, signaling their intent to leave the page. These popups can offer a last-minute incentive or message to encourage visitors to stay or take a specific action before exiting.

o You can use WordPress plugins like HubSpot1 or other custom solutions to create exit-intent popups that display relevant content or offers when users are about to leave.

2. Leaving Notice Popups for External Links:

o If you want to notify users specifically when they click on external links (links that take them away from your site), you can implement a leaving notice popup. This popup warns visitors that they are leaving your site and gives them the option to proceed or stay.

o These popups typically include a message and two buttons: one to leave and another to stay on your site2.

3. Quick Exit Buttons for Sensitive Content:

o Some websites include a quick exit button specifically for sensitive content. For instance, if someone is seeking information related to safety, privacy, or sensitive topics, this button allows them to quickly switch to another website.

o It’s helpful in situations where someone might be watching over their shoulder or entering a room, and they need to swiftly change the webpage3.

Remember to choose the approach that aligns with your website’s purpose and user experience. Providing clear options for visitors to leave or stay can enhance their overall interaction with your site. 🌐
